What can Captain America do without his shield? Why is he even considered a superhero?

 Well, if you want to know about what can Captain America do without his shield, here are some instances which will help you.

In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Batroc challenged Captain America to defeat him without his shield.

Captain America accepted his challenge and defeated Batroc without his shield amazingly.

Captain America stopped a helicopter which was being driven by Bucky with his bare hands in Captain America: Civil War.

He teared apart a piece of wood in Avengers: Age of Ultron with his bare hands.

Captain America also chased down a car driven by a HYDRA agent without practicing his new physical powers in Captain America: The First Avenger.

He took down several agents of HYDRA in an elevator with barely using his shield in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

He stood his ground against the mad Titan, Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. He was the only Avenger in Wakanda besides Scarlet Witch who actually faced Thanos for some time.

Even before he got the super soldier serum, he had incredible abilities. He had the confidence and will power of facing anyone who does wrong things.

He was also willing to sacrifice his life before he got the serum.

Now, why is he even considered an Avenger?

He is the leader of the Avengers. He is a great tactician and also keeps the Avengers together. These are his examples of amazing leadership :

He led the Avengers in the battle if New York when they were highly outnumbered by the opposition. He made a proper strategy and a plan.

He was also leading the Avengers in the practice session in the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

In Captain America: Civil War, he had to face Team Iron Man which was powerful than Team Captain America. But he found a way to defeat Team Iron Man and complete his mission.

He led the Wakandan forces along with Black Panther in Avengers: Infinity War. Although, the Avengers lost that time, Captain America did the best he could have because the opposition was way too strong.

Captain America literally led all the Avengers along with the Ravagers, the Sorcerers and many other beings from the galaxy in Avengers: Endgame.

He is also the master of inspirational speeches. Here are some of his speeches which motivated the people to support and help him in the battle :

In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, he gave an inspirational speech which made all the people from S.H.I.E.L.D take part in their fight against HYDRA.

He gave an incredible speech in Avengers: Age of Ultron which motivated everyone to fight against an army of robots.

In Avengers: Endgame, he gave an amazing speech to thr Avengers just before they were going to time travel. This gave them confidence and motivation.

Captain America, being the leader of the Avengers, also gives confidence to the new members who join the Avengers. He makes them feel comfortable among the other Avengers.

Lastly, he lifted a God's weapon, Mjolnir, with his true abilities. You don't need a shield or a serum to be worthy. You just need to always have true and good abilities.

So Captain America is much more than a shield and an essential part of the Avengers.

(Spoilers for Loki) How does the Time Variance Authority have multiple sets of Infinity Stones?

  Because as evidenced by the Time Authority variants are appearing all the time. We saw the Time Variance Authority processing and sentencing Variants who could destroy the Sacred Timeline and send the universe into a multiverse war again. If a Loki Variant could steal one Tesseract (one infinity stone) then why couldn't other variant beings do the same thing? Evidently other variant beings did try to steal or use an infinity stone and they were captured and their infinity stone was probably taken from them. Even though Loki Variant took the Tesseract, it still exists in the time when Steve Rogers returned the stones. The copy of the Tesseract like other infinity stones I’m sure came to the Time Variance in similar fashion. So it would seem the Time Variance keeps such trinkets as paperweights. I hope that clears up any confusion!

If someone other than Tony Stark had to sacrifice their life with the "snap" which MCU character would you have chosen and why?

  Captain America. Because… His character’s arc had been well established and touched upon and both he and Tony had basically the same level of development. Tony’s suit helped him withstand the stones but Cap doesn’t have that. What he  does  have though is the super soldier serum, so the directors could get away with saying that that is how he would’ve been able to withstand the stones for a few seconds. He, Tony, and Thor were the original big three. We can’t choose Tony this time so that leaves Cap and Thor. Cap (like I said) has had a full arc throughout the movies and his purpose is becoming more of just a soldier figure who’s good at leadership. Thor on the other hand doesn’t know what he wants anymore since he’s given up being king, etc. Thor’s story isn’t finished whereas Cap doesn’t really have anywhere to go at this point (which is further evidenced by the directors making him old at the end of Endgame).
