What would happen if Captain America and Iron Man had gone to Vormir?

 “To ensure that whoever possesses it understands its power, the stone demands a sacrifice. In order to take the stone, you must lose that which you love. A soul for a soul.”

This was said by Red Skull to Thanos when Thanos asked him that what should he do to get the Soul Stone.

So if Iron Man and Captain America had gone to Vormir to get the Soul Stone, either one would have had to sacrifice their life so that the other one would get the stone.

They would arrive and Red Skull will kill them that what they had to do in order to get the stone. So they both would stop one another to sacrifice their life because Captain America is known to make the sacrifice play and Iron Man's biggest fear is to see his friends die in front of him when he could have saved them. They would start stopping each other to sacrifice their life. Iron Man will knock him down first and tell him :

Then Iron Man would go to jump and sacrifice himself but suddenly Captain America reaches him and lifts him up and throws Iron Man back. Captain America prevents Iron Man from getting up.

Then suddenly Captain America goes to jump off the cliff and sacrifices his life for the Soul Stone.

Iron Man would get the Soul Stone but be very sad over the death of his friend, Steve Rogers.

He would return back to Earth and tell the other Avengers about his sacrifice. The Avengers would be shattered over the death of Steve since he was not only a good friend, but also a leader and a mentor for them.

So this is what would have happened if Captain America and Iron Man had gone to Vormir.
