Who should be the leader of the Avengers?
Well let’s see. . . Endgame is over and we’re missing some people. The Avengers have lost basically all of their most important members.
- Thor is off with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
- Hawkeye is back with his family in retirement.
- Captain America is retired.
- Black Widow is dead.
- Iron Man is dead.
All that’s left on earth is Professor Hulk, and he’s never been the the leader-type, even though he is extremely intelligent in his merged form.
But that still leaves some key members, who will definitely be sticking around with the Avengers, albeit not regularly. Many of them have other responsibilities after all.
- Black Panther is around, but he has a country to run so he couldn’t help very often.
- Bucky is around, but I suspect he would prefer to stay out of the public eye, and maybe even hang out in Wakanda again.
- Captain Marvel is around. . . once in a blue moon. Most of her time is still spent on other worlds.
- Spider-Man is around, but extremely busy with his home life. Besides, he’s a teenager.
- Scarlet Witch is around, but probably still traumatized. She never did get Vision back.
- Ant-Man is around, but not necessarily ready for a full-time Avenger position. He’s just getting used to grown-up Cassie after all.
- Doctor Strange is around, but busy in his Sanctum saving the world from mystical threats.
- War Machine is around, and available.
- Falcon is around, and available.
In my opinion, there are only two good options. Either War Machine or Falcon has to lead the Avengers.
And my personal preference is. . . Falcon. Why? Because he is the official new Captain America, appointed by Steve himself. And Steve was the old leader.
That’s a lot of responsibility, and we know Cap would only entrust his role to the person best suited to be Captain America. Besides, look at Falcon’s natural qualifications for the spot.
Falcon’s a military guy just like Cap. I know War Machine is too, but Steve and Sam had a better bond over their wartime experiences.
Falcon’s young, and in great shape. War Machine is a tough guy, but keep in mind he’s pushing 60 by now, or at least in his mid-50s. Leading the greatest superhero team in the world is a lot for someone that age.
Falcon has a good sense of humor and great speaking skills. He knows how to inspire people.
We saw that much from his speech at the VA building. In my opinion, he really is the perfect choice to be the next leader of the Avengers, despite his lack of powers. In my opinion, powers are not that important for a job like this.
Sam Wilson should be the next leader of the Avengers.
Proud of youuu✨
